News update October 2020

Here is some information about the development of the update of the 1300 engine class. At this time there are 3D models of three editions of the cabview of the 1300 engine, for which the update is still under development:

  • the 'classic' edition of the cab, as it was delivered from the factory

  • the 'classic' cab with a number of updates and new functiones

  • the 'modern' cabin, in which, among other updates, an updated instrument panel was built

Comparing the three cab types, a lot of differences are clear. In the 'classic' cabin, the poor engine driver was required to sit on a very simple type of seat, which must have lacked comfort for the driver. Also, the ATB system (which protects the train against overspeed and prevents passing of red signals) was missing in the 'classic' edition of the cabin, because it was only introduced more than ten years later, in the sixties of the twentieth century. The next edition of the cab contained the ATB system and also had a number of other new functions.

As you can see, the update of the 1300 engine series is still under construction. At this time, focus lies on the completion of this update. The 'middle' version of the cab will be included in the update. In the coming time, the external 3D models will be finalized in order to get them ready for release when the update package is complete.
